Paul Matheson
AMPWDA Trainer
Paul Matheson has been a member of AMPWDA since 2011. When he got his first Portuguese Water Dog he was looking for a source for SAR training. AMPWDA was suggested. Finding it to be an ideal training venue for both the novice and seasoned dog handler. He has certified two Portuguese Water dogs, one in Trailing, and one in HRD. He has had a life-long involvement with animals with growing up on a farm, then having hunting dogs. Recently retired, Paul hopes to devote more time to training.
While searches are the ultimate goal of training the team of dog and handler, the opportunity to help a new handler create the working relationship with their dog is equally rewarding.
