Julie Baummer
AMPWDA Instructor/Evaluator
Julie Baummer is a dedicated search and rescue professional
certified by AMPWDA and NAPWDA with multiple K9s in multiple
disciplines. She also earned the SARTECH II certification. Julie
began her search and rescue career in 2019 with her first partner, a
Black Labrador named Josie, who is both a trailing and area search
K9. Her second partner, Wyatt, a Bloodhound, is single-discipline
trailing K9. Her third K9, Stevie is a Malinois and her HRD K9. In
2023, Julie earned her evaluator status with NASAR for both air
scent/area search and human remains detection. She emphasizes the
importance of being part of the larger search and rescue community,
supporting fellow SAR members through instruction, evaluation, and
active fieldwork.
